Adjusting your screen

Brightness & Contrast

I know quite many people who is having trouble seeing anything on dark tracks, like Museum 1 or Bone Island. Below you can see a black to white stripe. If your screen has been setup as it should, you should be able to see 20 different colors, from pure white to pure black. You should easily be able to discern each color from each other. If not, adjust the brightness and contrast on your screen monitor until it fits your needs. My own screen (Samsung SyncMaster 913v) settings is:

BlackWhite

Red, Green & Blue

Many screen is either a bit too orange or too blue and might give you the wrong picture; In the end it is quite frustrating to look at. Below you'll see 3 color transitions, Red, Green and Blue. Check your screen settings, if they look incorrect as described above.

RedGreenBlue

Museum 2 & Toys in the hood 1

At last but most important, try adjust your screen settings after the following screenshots: comparison to 3ds max, but there is many alternative ways to map and therefore I will go through each tool and explain how they work.

Nhood1

Notice the light blue sky with the light white clouds.

Museum 2

Notice the floor texture. There is a dark sandcolored pattern on it. You might also notice something at the stairs - Humma i comming (yea, you almost can't see it even on good screens).
